Apparently I didn’t eat enough eggs this easter because I wanted more! So here is a recipe for an odd dish:

Ett 1/72 ställ från Revell samt den enda delen som finns kvar av min Star Trek Space Station från AMT.

En ställning till ett 1/144 plan från Revell. Till detta skall läggas lite plasticcard och plaststrips.

Bygget började med att jag skar ut en äggformad bit(!) ur ägget, vände på biten och limmade tillbaka den. Så nu hade jag ett ägg med en buckla.

I started by cutting an egg shaped hole in the egg (duh!) and turned the cutout over and glued it back again leaving me an egg with a concave bump.

Nästa steg var motorerna. I hålen i ändarna på raketkapslarna limmade jag kulorna från drinkpinnarna. Skarven mellan kula och kapsel täcktes med plaststrip. Den fick sedan en ”hängläpp” av en bredare plaststrip. Den andra ändan av kapseln var ju avrundad så den kläddes in med tunn plasticard. Det hela avslutades med några runda bitar plaststav och små plastrektanglar.

Next step was the engines. In the hole at the end of the rocket pod I glued the ball from the end of the cocktail stick.
The joint between the ball and the pod was covered with a plastic strip. It also got a ”lip” from a wider strip of plastic.
The other end of the rocket pod was rounded so this was covered with a piece cut out of thin plastic card. To finish everything off I added some short pieces of thin plastic rods and some small plastic rectangles.

Tefatet skars ut i tjock plasticard och Revellställets runda bas limmades på undersidan. På ovansidan limmade jag dit stället från 1/144-planet. Hålet i detta täcktes av ett runt fönster som jag hittade i skrotlådan.

The saucer was cut out from thick plastic card and the circular model stand was glued to the bottom of it.
The small stand was glued on the top of the saucer with the small hole covered with a round window from the spares box.

Sedan var det bara att montera ihop dom olika delarna med hjälp av plasticard och plaststrips. Radardiscen är den lilla tefatet på USS Enterprise från min gamla rymdstation.
Spackling och målning efter detta sedan på med dekalerna som jag hittade i skrotlådan.
Stället byggdes av tjock svart plasticcard som var klädd med kopparfärgad spegelfolie. Pinnen kom från 144 stället som använts tidigare i bygget.

All that was left to do was to put all the parts together with some plasticard and plastic strips. The radar disc is the small saucer from the USS Enterprise that was left from my old space station.
Then on to puttying and sanding before the paint and decals came on. The decals were found in the spares box as well.
I built the stand with thick black plastic card that was covered in a copper coloured mirror foil and the pin left from the small stand used earlier.
