Revealing skirt.
I’ve been hit by a creative block on those last 5% of the interior weathering. Better to take a break from that for a while. Instead I mounted the last exterior pieces, like the fire extinguisher and the remaining side skirt parts. The skirts are in the state vehicle no 204 was when abandoned by the crew.
… och här är andra sidan. Nu kör jag på med den yttre vädringen ett tag!
… and here’s the other side. Now I’ll just get on with the exterior weathering for a while!
Hi Hans–
I really enjoy comming home after a crappy work day to see what you’ve been doing on the Tiger II. I really enjoy your paint work. You and Leijon and David Parker and Brett R. are doing a bangup job on this kit. Watching the work unfold takes me back a couple of years when I built Trumpy’s T-34/85–I swear to god I have never seen bigger ejection pin marks. I have the Tiger II also and soon hope to be able to find the time to begin building and filling those damn sinkholes:)—in the meantime, I must remain a spectator here and at the AFV Tiger II thread–but enjoying every minute.–tread
I forgot to ask you this question, which is something I first wondered when I embarked on the 1/16 T-34–How do you feel the kit would’ve been if Tamiya or Dragon would’ve engineered it?—just a thought:)–yippie ki yay bro’
Tread,
If you mean how I think the engineering would be if the kit was from Big T or Dragon instead: God, hopefully outstanding, but we never know with Dragon (Mr Testicle!!!). I’d prefer a Dragon type kit, with 12 big photoetch sets, double the amount of pieces, loads of metal 🙂
… and it would of course never be finished…
I got the Trumpeter 1:16 T-34/76. Probably World Record Holder of most pin-marks! I started superdetailing the interior, but lost interest. Overdosed on T-34 knowledge instead of getting anything practical done. And I’m damned if I can remember a 10th of it now. Man what a waste of time!
Haha, don’t worry, you will find punchmarks in the most ”creative” places on this kit. I must’ve missed 50 of them. You’ll be elevated to Master Sander if you pass this test 🙂
