En bild så ni förstår hur litet T-skalan är. 3D utskrivet ånglokomotiv mot en Vallejoburk för skaljämförelse. 1:450 är litet!

Tågen känns som Fleischmann från 80-talet. Det går krypköra, backa, växlarna fungerar et c. Utmaningen är att allt är så sjukt smått.
Det gula verktyg i bild är för att få på tåg och vagnar på spåret. Spårbredden är 3 mm så det är riktigt svårt utan.
Härligt med ett nytt stort projekt......
Vad tror ni? Kommer den rulla?

Hi,
I´m the guy who built the Birthday present a couple of weeks ago. That build is posted in this forum as well. Of course i got bitten by the T bug as well so last week my first shipment for my own layout arrived.
I´m a Swede so deciding on the size of the layout was simple. Each module must of course fit in a IKEA Billy bookshelf! That means each module is 74*26 cm.
The general idea is to create a German Reichbahn 1944 layout featuring the Ruhr industrial district, countryside views, damaged cities, bombed bridges, a harbour with a wreck, 28 cm rail-gun and hopefully an armoured train.
See below my trackplan made using AnyRail 5. (Great software BTW!)
Two separate modules interconnected with the tracks going through the mountain. I will start building the left layout but with the aim to add the second in a couple of months. Both module will be self-sustaining meaning that they will operate as single layouts or in combination with each other.
Christmas at my place! A complete box of T-Gauge stuff för £500+ incl. 2 trains and tracks enough for both layouts.

3D printed Steam Locomotive from Shapeways. Works and looks great!
Some initial heights and slopes added using styrofoam and foamboard.
Tunnels, heights and slopes added. Mountain to the left and higher mountain to the right. The cables are to isolate the 3 tracks.
I will try to get basic signals red/green in place using fibreoptics. Not sure this was used in 1944 though, any ideas?
A view of the mountain with tunnels. These tracks will connect to the right module using flexitrack connectors.
Scratchbuilt bridge in Plasticard. Will add more detail to it later.
