Hej,
ny uppdatering. Även denna gång saxat från T-gauge.net.
===============Hi all,
some pictures as promised on the rolling stock. Painted as wartime seriously battered pieces of hardware.
I built a little dioramabase to show-off the trains with a nice back-drop. Flexitracks used.
First out is the train + cargostock. Painted with airbrush(various base shades of grey, brown, beige) + wash + drybrush. After that some detail painting with brush.
Next is the Krupp K5 "Leopold". Painted black + three shades of grey, dry-transfer lettering and decal markings. Wash + drybrush. Looks pretty cool. (I´m out of boogies, thats why it sits on the track in the pictures. It is about 7 cm in length in total incl. boogies.)
I will later add a couple of soldiers servicing the Big gun + ammo.
Next step for the overall build is to fix the rails and start working on the landscaping.
If you haven´t bought the OzRail rolling stock yet. Do, its amazing! http://www.shapeways.com
Thanks for all your help so far!
Jonas

Hur fungerar kanonen i kurvor?

Hej,

Hi all,
I have gotten the loco and rolling stock to work reasonably well using magentic wheels and stiffer couplers. Thank you for the tips!
Ttime for another update. This time the terrain basics.
First huge amounts of plaster binds it all together.
Then some grassmats for fields....Bought at Tgauge.com.
A layer of black acrylic paint is used to create "Guaranteed no white spots showing through" effect.
Airbrush to get a good base paint. Tamiya colors, Flat Ear´th, Buff, Deck Tan, RedBrown and Brown. '
Then a brown wash over it all and drybrushing with lighter colors to bring out the texture.
Everything painted again using white glue. Various scattermaterials distributed liberally on top.
Testrun with the boogies to my Krupp K5 ni place. It actually negotiates the corners pretty well. It is heavy though and this is the longest train Ive been able to run using a single 19m motorized chassis.
Another view with the gun in firing position. Looks kinda cool right!?
Then onto the modular long-term plan and the flexitrack connectors under the mountain.
Next step is detailing the terrain, add houses, fences, people et c.....
Stay tuned!
Jonas
