No, it will not.
Sweden has operated an aircraft similar to Tejas, just JAS, for nearly 20 years, so the Tejas is hardly bringing anything revolutionary to the game. But India are never the less very welcome to the game.

Its digital fly-by-wire flight control system is good though.

You haven't crashed any prototypes yet, you mean? 
Well, according to Wikipedia even Tejas had some initial problems with the FCS. The Tejas seems to have a lot in common with the Gripen, being slightly smaller, they have about the same payload capacity. I suspect the Tejas have shorter range, since it is smaller, which would mean less fuel carried.
But the size might be a drawback? The Gripen E (the version that was offered to India) for example will be slightly larger, with an increased fuel load.
But anyway, the Tejas is a cool little airplane, and since it is a Delta, it belongs to a family of distinguished fighter aircraft, like the Mirage III, the Draken and Viggen.. I hope there will be a 1/48 scale kit someday.
