How panting aB.16 caproni Ca.313
Good Morning,
I am Carlos Miguélez, from Logroño, Spain.
is a true pleasure write you now.
I need your help, if possible.
Actually, I am finishing a Flygvapnet B. 16 Caproni Ca.313 bomber, but I have some doubts about the its colours scheme. specially about the base color of the upper fuselage; is it desert yellow?
I would appreciatevery much any advice you could give me on this aspect . I normally use the acrylic Gunze and Tamiya ranges.
Sincerely yours,
Carlos

There are two different colour schemes on the Swedish Capronis. The first which was present at delivery, and the other that was painted from 1943 on. The latest is well documented.

Re: How panting aB.16 caproni Ca.313
Hi Carlos,
A number of years ago I built the Italeri Ca.313 Caproni as a Swedish B16 bomber and I used a desert sand/yellow as a base and then olive green and red-brown for the blotches.
However, I was already at that time aware of that this was not the way the real aircraft was painted. I was quite convince the desert sand/yellow should have been gray instead (but I used desert sand/yellow as it looked more like the picture I had in my mind).
If you look at the B16 at Flygvapenmuseum in Linköping, Sweden, it is painted the way you suggest though. Bear in mind this is a mock-up built for a TV-series.

I hope you will get better info than this…
Best regards

Carlos bad mig lägga ut hans bilder av sin nästan färdiga modell då han inte har möjlighet till det själv.
Återstår endast kodsiffror som han har beställt från Rebell Hobby.

Hi Carlos,
Very nice! I like the shades you used on your Caproni B16. And I know how painful it is to mask all those windows. Good work!

Bättre allt för många obyggda och påbörjade modeller i garderoben och i lådor än en enda modell för lite...
Lite av vad som finns i vitrinet...
S 26 "6" (Airfix), J 26 "Gul H" (Hasegawa), J 26 "Vit Bertil" (Heller).
