Saab J32B Lansen weapons loadout

Hi all,

I have a Tarangus 1:48 scale J32B Lansen in my stash, the kit has 2 x 6 wing hardpoints but no weapons and no indication of possible weapons loadouts.

I know that the Swedish AF used the Rb24 (licence built AIM-9B Sidewinder) and most of the pictures of J32Bs show only 3 or 2 hardpoints per wing, I would like to model my Lansen with a representative air-air loadout using Eduard excellent AIM-9Bs, can anybody help me on this subject?

According to biiks the J 32B could carry four Rb24 or two Rb24 and two Rocket pods (Raketkapsel m/57). In older Black and white pictures there are often all six pylons mounted under each wing and the armament is in #2 and# 4 from the centre. In fact this confirms what you wrote, standard loadout for the J32B would be 2 m/57 75mm rocket pods on pylon 2 and 2 Rb24 missiles on pylon 4 plus the centerline conformal fuel tank.

I will order the m/57 pods from Maestro Models.

In the picture you refer to I think it shows the Hughes AN/AAR-4 infra-red sight under the left wing.
