Thank you. That's what I would have expected. Why repaint the entire insignia when you can just paint the border around the one already there. But I figured I'd better ask to make sure. And the border width is 10% of the outer diameter of the blue circle. Exactly what I needed to know.

First - When the order was given to add the yellow border to the SwAF insignia in 1940 did the existing insignia on current aircraft stay the same size except the yellow border was added on around them so the size diameter specification was enlarged by the additional size of the border?
